Business Development Associate – Consumer Market

About the role

AppLovin is seeking a driven Business Development Associate to join its Consumer (eCommerce & Apps) team in Shanghai. This client‑facing position supports non‑gaming app growth through AppLovin’s marketing platform, helping to build relationships, optimize campaigns, and drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential APAC e‑commerce and non‑gaming app clients; support the sales cycle from lead generation to contract closing.
• Assist in executing localized sales and BD strategies, tracking market trends and competitor activities.
• Maintain day‑to‑day client communication, conduct business reviews, and convey product updates.
• Collaborate with product, operations, technical, and customer success teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and campaign optimization.
• Track industry trends, produce market analysis reports, and represent AppLovin at conferences and events.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline records and prepare reports to inform team decisions.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, mobile ad tech, digital marketing, e‑commerce or related fields (fresh graduates with relevant internships welcome).
• Strong interest in client prospecting, relationship building, and APAC e‑commerce/app markets.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and teamwork skills; proactive and results‑oriented.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin for daily business communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade or related discipline.
