Team Lead – Account Management

About the role

Adyen is looking for an experienced and inspirational leader to head its Account Management team in China. You will build, mentor and coach a group of account managers responsible for growing strategic merchant relationships and payments revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth by advising the team on share‑of‑wallet expansion, upselling, cross‑selling and relationship building.
• Set clear individual and team revenue goals, report performance metrics to executives.
• Create an inspiring, collaborative environment with open feedback and continuous training.
• Coach on strategic account planning, contract negotiations, product roadmap discussions and executive engagement.
• Provide consultative advice to align enterprise merchants with Adyen’s global payments strategy.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to convey merchant needs, influencing product innovation and project delivery.

Required profile

• Dynamic, hands‑on self‑starter with proven commercial edge and entrepreneurial drive.
• Strong network in the Chinese payment/fintech industry and experience engaging C‑suite executives.
• Excellent communication skills, able to lead strategic payments conversations and high‑level technical discussions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across departments while motivating and collaborating with teams.

Required skills

• Solid experience in payments, alternative payment methods or card acquiring industry.
• Native Mandarin with business‑level English proficiency.
