Recruiting Lead China

About the role

As a core member of Roche's global Recruiting Practice leadership team, the Recruiting Lead China drives the strategic and operational delivery of recruitment across the responsible areas. The role builds and leads agile recruiting teams aligned with the company's People & Culture operating model, business network needs and long-term ambitions, and ensures consistent approaches and harmonized processes across China.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Global Recruiting Practice Lead, turning enterprise and business strategies into actionable recruitment plans.
• Design and execute the recruiting strategy to ensure speed, quality and equity in hiring across geographies and business units.
• Lead, coach and inspire a geographically dispersed team of recruiting professionals, championing capability development, onboarding and continuous performance feedback.
• Oversee headcount and requisition capacity planning, team structuring and operational forecasting, and define and track KPIs.
• Partner with business leaders and People & Culture colleagues to anticipate talent needs, and act as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders.
• Use data and systems to optimise sourcing strategies and recruitment cycle time, and experiment with new technologies, sourcing channels and AI-driven solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in recruiting or executive search, ideally in biotech, pharma or tech, including 5-7 years in a people leadership role in a complex, matrixed or global environment.
• Strong expertise in full-cycle recruiting, workforce planning and talent strategy.
• Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
• Fluent Mandarin and English at business level; coaching certification or relevant training is advantageous.
