P&C Business Partner (Advisory)

About the role

Roche is hiring a P&C Business Partner (Advisory) in Shanghai. The role provides short-term strategic guidance to leaders on people and compensation matters such as succession, talent management, performance management, goal setting, rewards and compensation, and organizational set-up. It works closely with the P&C community, including Business Partners, Operational Advisors and subject-matter experts from other Chapters.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic P&C advice to leaders on succession, talent management, performance management, goal setting, reward and compensation, and organizational set-up, drawing on the P&C community and subject-matter experts.
• Take part in global and regional squads for key P&C initiatives and new system launches.
• Advise, coach and train business and P&C leaders on system and process topics, especially when new processes or projects are rolled out.
• Ensure alignment and execution of policies, procedures and global P&C initiatives, and compliance with legislative requirements and standards.
• Analyze P&C and business metrics such as turnover, talent reviews and on/offboarding needs, share insights and recommend solutions.
• Lead incoming requests, prioritize and implement solutions, and partner with other Chapters such as PSS, People Relations and Networked and Dedicated BPs.

Required profile

• Passionate, knowledgeable P&C professional comfortable in a fast-paced global and virtual environment.
• Customer-centric, with cultural awareness and business understanding, and end-to-end ownership of requests.
• Strong communication, coaching, influencing and negotiation skills, able to handle time pressure.
• Ability to diagnose short-term P&C needs and offer fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel to Suzhou.
