Hull Lead – New Build Projects in China

About the role

Avantis is seeking a Hull Lead to drive the delivery of new‑build ship hulls at advanced shipyards in China. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete hull construction process, ensuring world‑class quality, safety and efficiency while working with an international, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of hull construction, from steelwork fabrication to final assembly.
• Lead and motivate cross‑functional teams, coordinating with engineering, planning and quality departments to meet project milestones.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Introduce innovative hull building methods and drive technical excellence.
• Monitor progress, report status and resolve technical issues on site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in shipbuilding or large‑scale steel structure projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
