EL Sales Support Specialist - Configuration

About the role

ABB is hiring an EL Sales Support Specialist in Shanghai, China, within its Technical Sales Support team. The role reports to the EL Sales Support Manager and works onsite. It supports the local sales organisation and customers in finding the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, and acts as a key technical resource for the assigned area.

Key responsibilities

• Create and complete bids, estimates and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements or budget, balancing technical and commercial considerations to secure competitiveness and high margins.
• Prepare technical descriptions of products and technology to support the proposal process, and collect and collate all information needed, including technical and cost elements.
• Offer technical advice on enquiry specifications for customers, channels and sales engineers, and provide support during bidding, technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations.
• Ensure tenders are well documented in a timely manner with full and accurate costs, and provide inputs for editing on time according to quality procedures.
• Identify potential risks in bids, estimates, quotations and related contracts, and take part in the risk review process in line with ABB policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above, major in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field, with a solid foundation of knowledge in medium and high voltage power systems.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, self-motivated, able to manage tender timetables and work under pressure.
