Director of Sales Excellence

About the role

Microsoft Advertising is seeking a seasoned leader to head its Sales Excellence function. The Director will partner closely with the GM of China Advertising Sales and collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Business Planning, Product, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Legal to drive operational rigor, scalable solutions, and growth for all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver revenue, ExTAC, and cost‑management targets for the portfolio of advertising solutions.
• Partner with the GM of China sales to define and execute a comprehensive sales and partner strategy across domestic and outbound business.
• Shape a seamless operating model that connects Business Planning, Strategy, Operations, Product, and Engineering.
• Design and govern partner policies and incentive structures aligned with revenue goals.
• Ensure operational rigor and accuracy in quota settings and incentive plans.
• Coach and develop the Sales Excellence team with a balance of strategic vision and hands‑on execution.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in sales operations, enablement, or excellence within a digital advertising or technology environment.
• Exceptional coaching ability with calm urgency, rigor, and empathy.
• Strong collaborator and influencer capable of partnering across multiple functions and geographies.
• Strategic thinker who can also act as an operator to drive results.
