Sales Support Specialist - Transformers

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY's Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants, with more than 90% of its sales coming from locally made products. This full-time, on-site Sales Support Specialist role in Shanghai supports the sales team with commercial and technical customer support, project marketing and order follow-up.

Key responsibilities

• Help the sales team achieve the annual sales budget and support transformer-business sales.
• Provide timely commercial and technical support to customers and communicate efficiently with them.
• Assist with marketing and sales activities for transformer projects and help prepare simple technical presentations and factory introductions.
• Prepare commercial and technical offers and review and confirm sales order delivery with relevant functions.
• Follow up on sales orders with the Project Management team and support market strategy formulation.
• Promote ABB products and solutions and perform other sales-related tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations and uphold the company's values of safety and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an electrical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales and marketing position preferred.
• Strong sense of responsibility, creativity and initiative, with excellent organisation, coordination and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office.
• General understanding of financial knowledge.
