Key Account Manager - China & Hong Kong

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Key Account Manager based in Shanghai to develop and profitably grow its assigned Global and Regional Key Accounts within China and Hong Kong. The role carries P&L responsibility for achieving defined sales, volume and gross profit targets.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain knowledge of each Global and Regional Key Account's strategy, needs and market in China and Hong Kong.
• Set and execute regional strategies and targets, with P&L responsibility, to meet sales, volume and gross profit goals.
• Identify new opportunities such as cross-selling in line with company directives.
• Coordinate developments with site and regional buyers in China and work with business units and Regional Key Account Managers to expand product offerings and strengthen customer loyalty.
• Manage relationships with key customers and their suppliers, and handle enquiries and RFQs, including consolidation programs and GKA projects.
• Complete periodic reports and admin tasks on time, and take on additional roles agreed with the Regional Key Account Team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience.
• Strong learning agility, self-motivation and persistence in reaching objectives.
• Comfortable communicating with employees and customers in China, and able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within China as required.

Required skills

• Fluent English, verbal and written.
• Good analytical skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Familiarity with SAP and SalesForce platforms.
