Associate Project Manager - Language Services

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is looking for a COA/eCOA Project Manager or Associate Project Manager for its Language Services team in China. You will manage translation projects for clients, from initial scope and cost alignment through to coordination with translators, progress management, quality control and final delivery. The position reports to a manager based in EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution and delivery of global and local COA/eCOA projects, aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage local COA/eCOA projects for China with a fast turnaround time
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in and outside China to secure deliverables
• Liaise with local client representatives in China to manage expectations and monitor progress
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets and schedules, and monitor progress
• Facilitate communication and stakeholder engagement, and coordinate between team members and clients
• Select and assign translators and reviewers, conduct final checks of deliverables and coordinate delivery to clients

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, linguistic project management or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Project Manager: 5+ years of COA/translation/localization project management experience; Associate Project Manager: 2+ years
• Business-level Chinese and English proficiency
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based

• Familiarity with translation management systems and CAT tools
• Strong communication, leadership, organisational and time-management skills
