Assistant Sales Support Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Sales Support Engineer works closely with KONE sales teams to design and deliver optimal technical solutions for customers, especially for non‑standard and modernisation projects. The role ensures that solutions meet technical, cost, regulatory and installability requirements while supporting the full sales and delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and propose optimal technical solutions, selecting the appropriate KONE product platform and third‑party offerings.
• Participate in customer meetings, answer technical questions, and provide clear scope definitions.
• Prepare accurate solution costings by collaborating with CSE Engineers, product, system, supply line and project management teams.
• Coordinate creation of specifications, perform energy calculations, traffic analyses, and conduct technical site surveys.
• Manage solution lead times, ensuring availability of materials and local sourcing.
• Validate installability and maintainability of solutions, accounting for non‑standard installation methods and lifecycle requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, environmental standards and KONE engineering policies.
• Provide technical content for pre‑tender reviews, lead engineering teams on major projects, and hand over detailed designs to project engineers.
• Create layout plans, analyse change requests, and support ordering and documentation processes.
• Deliver technical training to sales, installation and maintenance teams and share knowledge across the Customer Solutions Engineering network.
