Supervisor / Assistant Manager, Sales Personal Care Solutions, Greater China

About the role

BASF (China) is hiring a Supervisor / Assistant Manager for its Sales Personal Care Solutions business in Greater China. Acting as Key Account Owner for the assigned customers, the incumbent is responsible for achieving sales targets and KPIs in line with the sales strategy, and works closely with distribution, marketing, technical and customer service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sales for the customers and deliver the yearly budgeted volumes and market profit
• Hunt for new business and retain existing customers, deepening portfolio penetration
• Create sales plans and manage the Order-to-Cash process, including accurate sales forecasting
• Identify rising-star customers and build customer projects
• Strengthen customer relationship management and keep close track of market trends, competitors, product needs and the customer base
• Meet operational requirements such as analytical reporting, key account planning, customer segmentation, business reviews and cost initiatives
• Improve sales efficiency using digital sales tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Science, Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in technical sales and/or marketing
• Solid selling skills with a proven track record of problem solving and decision making
• Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude and good command of English
