Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager (Beijing/Shanghai)

About the role

Canonical is seeking a Silicon Alliances Ecosystem Development Manager to lead joint initiatives and technical engagements with major semiconductor partners in Beijing or Shanghai. You will help shape open‑source strategies, drive product road‑maps and accelerate Ubuntu adoption across hardware platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering and alliance teams at silicon partners to align on open‑source strategies.
• Ensure Canonical’s product requirements are clear and delivery is executed as planned.
• Maintain relationships with engineering teams to integrate and optimise Ubuntu on new chips.
• Act as the product champion and primary contact for named silicon partners.
• Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation and launch plans.
• Create partner‑ and customer‑facing materials such as webinars, presentations, videos and white papers.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic record or compelling alternative path.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology or engineering.
• Fundamental understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem.
• Experience in software and system architecture.
• Customer‑facing experience in business development or technology strategy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to synthesize complex material.
