Senior e-Machine Design Engineer

About the role

Regal Rexnord is hiring a Senior e-Machine Design Engineer in Changzhou City. This is a fully onsite position carried out at the designated Regal Rexnord office. The role covers electromagnetic design of motors, from new product development through optimization, validation and customer solutions.

Key responsibilities

• New product development: use electromagnetic design, finite element simulation and motor performance analysis tools to define electromagnetic solutions, key parameters and performance evaluation for new motors, and identify risks in efficiency, temperature rise, noise, cost and manufacturability.
• Optimize existing motor platforms and products, improving electromagnetic performance, efficiency, materials and structures, and expanding applications.
• Analyze and solve electromagnetic issues such as efficiency, torque, temperature rise, vibration and noise, demagnetization risk and consistency, and set up simulation, test and validation plans.
• Take part in customer and system requirement analysis and turn performance, size, efficiency, cost, noise and reliability needs into design inputs and product specifications.
• Lead research on high-efficiency motors, low-noise electromagnetic solutions, new materials and advanced electromagnetic design methods.

Required profile

• Master's degree or above in motor and electrical engineering, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience in electromagnetic design and engineering of permanent magnet and induction motors.
• Familiarity with the motor product development process, including prototype validation and production launch support.
• Rich experience solving electromagnetic problems using simulation, testing, data analysis and root-cause analysis.
• Proactive, responsible and able to handle complex design and cross-functional work under pressure.

Required skills

• Motor electromagnetic design theory and motor operating principles.
• Electromagnetic simulation and motor design analysis software.
• Ability to combine test data for performance evaluation, design iteration and issue identification.
