Senior Client Officer (Corporate Communications)

About the role

Serve as the primary contact for corporate retainer clients, developing and executing PR plans in both Mandarin and English.

Key responsibilities

• Lead creation of corporate communication materials such as press releases, executive speeches, and annual reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with media, KOLs, and secure coverage for C‑suite spokespeople.
• Draft holistic communication strategies for product launches, crisis scenarios, ESG milestones, M&A announcements and thought‑leadership campaigns.
• Manage project timelines, vendor budgets and third‑party suppliers, providing weekly status reports and post‑campaign analysis.
• Monitor industry trends, policy shifts and competitor moves, delivering actionable counsel and quarterly trend reports.
• Support new‑business pitches through research, proposal drafting and presentation rehearsals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, English, International Relations or related field.
• 2–3 years of corporate‑communications experience in a PR agency, preferably tech or professional‑services accounts.
• Native‑level Mandarin and fluent business English, both written and spoken.
• Established network of Chinese business and industry journalists and familiarity with new‑media platforms (REDNote, Zhihu, Bilibili, WeChat Channels).
• Proven track record of placing corporate news in tier‑one outlets and securing top‑tier broadcast interviews.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and budget spreadsheet management.
• Experience with media monitoring databases such as Meltwater or Cision.
• Basic knowledge of AI‑driven monitoring tools.
