Material Planner – Supply Chain

About the role

Cytiva is seeking a Material Planner to ensure raw‑material readiness for on‑time delivery, improve quality‑in‑time performance and optimise inventory levels. The role is based in Beijing and works closely with engineering, production and supply‑chain teams to keep material flows smooth and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse historical material consumption and forecast demand to design raw‑material inventory plans.
• Set up and adjust MRP parameters quarterly and monitor MRP data in SAP.
• Generate purchase requisitions, convert them to purchase orders and coordinate with vendors.
• Support non‑standard raw‑material preparation together with design engineers.
• Track on‑time delivery of materials, manage related payment programs and resolve material issues with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement and maintain KANBAN material flow where applicable.
• Continuously monitor inventory, identify excess & obsolete (E&O) stock, investigate root causes and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with related teams to achieve company KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Production & Material Control, Material Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of material requirement planning (MRP), demand‑supply balancing and raw‑material readiness.
• Understanding of import/export operations, customs clearance and international logistics.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and ensure on‑time material delivery.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
