About the role
The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Beijing office in advancing zero‑emission transport policies in China. You will work alongside researchers on data‑driven projects that evaluate environmental transportation measures.
Key responsibilities
- Assist research projects that analyse and communicate the status of environmental transport policies in China.
- Perform statistical analysis under the guidance of senior researchers using R, Python and Tableau.
- Help translate reports and draft outreach materials in Mandarin and English.
- Complete ad‑hoc tasks and support the heavy‑duty vehicle program as needed.
Required profile
- Senior undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in Transportation, Environmental Science & Engineering, Automotive or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Availability to work at least three days per week, with a minimum of two on‑site days in the Beijing office for a period of six months.
