Manager, Customer Engineer – PDC

About the role

Lead the Customer Engineer team in the district, building strong customer relationships and ensuring successful system installations and support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across all levels and conduct regular visits.
• Manage, coach, and direct all customer engineers, handling salary and career planning.
• Serve as the primary interface with Product Divisions for tech support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Oversee account planning with District Sales Engineer and provide support plans for system sales.
• Responsible for financial forecasting, cost efficiency, and achieving district financial results.
• Plan, report, and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings.
• Manage RMA procedures and monitor engineer performance and hour tracking.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to provide direction according to company policies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, exercising judgment within defined procedures.
• Effective interpersonal skills for presenting technical information and gaining cooperation.
• Understanding of Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical standards.

• RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process management.
• Financial forecasting and cost‑efficiency analysis.
