Procurement Engineer

About the role

Philips is seeking a Procurement Engineer at Manager level to lead supplier‑facing projects and changes across cost, schedule, and technical scope. You will act as the key interface between cross‑functional teams and manage procurement activities that support program schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier projects, drive selection, early involvement, and value engineering.
• Develop and communicate detailed procurement schedules aligned with program timelines.
• Execute RFQs, issue technical documentation, and support phase‑in/phase‑out planning.
• Partner with supplier quality, conduct assessments, and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and commodity teams to achieve cost reductions.

Required profile

• BS or comparable degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or similar.
• 5+ years experience in hardware design or matrixed manufacturing with a focus on supply chain or procurement.
• Proven ability to organize and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills across functions and organizational layers.
