Low Latency C++ Developer

About the role

Eclipse Trading is a leading proprietary derivatives trading firm founded in 2007, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney and Chicago. It is looking for a C++ software developer to join its Low Latency Development team, which builds the market links and core components of the firm's in-house trading systems. The required seniority depends on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low-latency exchange connectivity and trading algorithms, including quoting, hedging and arbitrage for listed derivatives and delta one products
• Work closely with quants and traders to define the behaviour of trading algorithms
• Develop C++ applications for core trading infrastructure
• Test code thoroughly, including automated testing, and take part in code reviews
• Provide tier 3 support

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of C++ server-side development on Linux (C++14 or later desirable)
• Solid data analysis skills
• Excellent spoken and written English

Required skills

• Strong technical design skills
• Understanding of multithreading, network socket programming and low-latency programming techniques
• Experience with automated trading systems or exchange connectivity (China exchanges a plus)
• Experience with Kafka is a plus
