Legal Business Partner – Southeast Asia

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Business Partner to provide end‑to‑end legal support for our Southeast Asian operations. The role will act as the primary legal advisor for daily activities, project expansion, and business collaborations across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the company’s overseas business model and development needs, delivering one‑stop legal assistance and full‑process risk control.
• Draft, review, and revise contracts; support business negotiations and resolve legal issues in business development.
• Coordinate daily communication and management of external law firms in Southeast Asia, ensuring high‑quality legal services.
• Monitor regional legal compliance, track updates to local laws, and create targeted compliance guidelines.
• Handle legal disputes, arbitration, and complaint cases, working with external counsel to protect the company’s rights.
• Participate in due‑diligence for overseas investments and cooperate projects, and improve regional legal management systems.
• Conduct internal legal compliance training and undertake other overseas legal tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; legal professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Southeast Asian legal affairs (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) with solid knowledge of local commercial law and cross‑border compliance.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese; able to draft contracts in English and communicate fluently in cross‑border business contexts.
• Experience managing external law firms and handling dispute resolution.
• Strong business acumen, independent problem‑solving ability, and willingness to travel overseas.
