Inside Sales Account Executive

About the role

PTC, a global software company bringing the physical and digital worlds together, is hiring an Inside Sales Account Executive in Shanghai. The Account Executive carries overlay quota responsibility for assigned software products in a given industry, territory or accounts, driving transactional revenue alongside larger enterprise solutions and IT engagements. The role involves heavy interaction with technical associates and collaboration with Direct Sales and authorized partners.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned revenue quota by selling PTC software, renewal services, training and consulting to product development companies
• Work with certified software partners to drive revenue
• Prospect and develop new accounts while maintaining sales within existing accounts
• Coordinate with Regional Sales Directors and Field Reps
• Ensure quality control of finished projects and document them monthly
• Work with cross-functional groups such as Marketing, Enablement and GBO
• Develop revenue forecasts with the Sales Director and track quarterly commitments
• Track the sales process in the internal CRM system and help process immediate orders for software delivery

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; Mechanical Engineering-related major required
• 3 years of work experience highly preferred; fresh graduates also accepted
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively
• Competitive drive and strong desire for success

Required skills

• Good understanding of AI tools is a strong plus
• Good understanding of software subscription (SaaS) models is a plus
• Software license compliance experience is a plus
• Prior experience calling into industry-based accounts and the CAD and PLM product segments is preferred
