Graduate Engineer – Public Health & Plumbing Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a recent graduate to join Arup’s Guangzhou Public Health & Plumbing Engineering team. In this role you will contribute to the design of water, drainage and plumbing systems for a variety of building types, supporting the creation of healthy and sustainable environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and modelling of plumbing, drainage and water supply systems for commercial, healthcare, education and mixed‑use projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and sustainability specialists to integrate public‑health considerations into built‑environment solutions.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations and documentation in line with local codes and Arup standards.
• Support the evaluation of system performance and sustainability metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Up to 12 months of full‑time experience in a comparable role or recent graduate status.
• Full working rights in China.

Required skills

• Interest or experience in public‑health engineering, plumbing or water engineering.
• Basic proficiency with engineering software and programming concepts (e.g., scripting for calculations).
