Field Application Engineer – Sensors & ASICs

About the role

As a Field Application Engineer you will act as the technical bridge between Bosch's MEMS sensor and ASIC product portfolio and customers in China. You will support sales, guide customers through design challenges, and ensure projects progress smoothly to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to promote MEMS sensors, motor‑control ICs and charging ICs, providing technical assistance throughout the sales cycle.
• Track customer project status, own project management tasks and drive projects toward successful mass‑production launch.
• Deliver product training to sales personnel, distributors and end‑customers.
• Work with Bosch Application Engineers to create custom hardware/software reference designs.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, including R&D, quality and procurement contacts.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation, Vehicle Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with sensor systems, data acquisition and signal‑processing techniques.
• Background in automotive embedded software development using automotive‑grade MCUs is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards.
• Fluent spoken and written English for communication with German teams.
