Country People Partner, China

About the role

LSEG is looking for a Country People Partner (CPP) to support its business in China. The role partners with the People team and business leaders to turn priorities into clear, actionable people strategies that align with global direction and China's regulatory environment. It shapes talent, leadership and organisational outcomes in a multifaceted environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with People Leaders to develop and deliver people strategies aligned with business priorities and the local context
• Lead the local delivery of global People programmes, ensuring strong adoption and impact
• Advise on employee relations, employment practices and compliance, balancing business needs with risk management
• Drive talent development, engagement and retention initiatives, using data and insights to inform decisions
• Collaborate with Centres of Excellence, CPP colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver coordinated people solutions
• Support organisational change and transformation, and ensure compliance with local employment laws, policies and governance requirements
• Contribute to improving people processes, practices and colleague experience, and collaborate across the APAC CPP community

Required profile

• Experience in an HRBP or similar role within a multinational or complex organisation
• Solid understanding of core HR areas: talent, performance, engagement and employee relations
• Experience partnering with business leaders and delivering people-focused initiatives
• Confidence handling employee relations matters, including sensitive or complex situations
• Experience supporting organisational change or transformation
• Interest or experience in talent and leadership development
• Sound understanding of China employment law and local HR practices
• Comfortable working in English within a global environment
