Business Development Manager - AI Driven

About the role

PTC is looking for an AI Business Development Manager in Shanghai to lead its AI initiatives in the China market. You will understand the digital needs of manufacturing clients, combine PTC's AI technology and platform with local Large Language Model and AI Agent ecosystems, build disruptive application scenarios and solutions, drive their commercial implementation and establish PTC's leadership in "AI + Manufacturing".

Key responsibilities

• Research global and China-specific trends in LLM and AI Agent technologies and their applications in manufacturing (R&D, production, supply chain, operations)
• Analyze pain points in the digital transformation of China's manufacturing sector and identify scenarios where LLMs and AI Agents deliver core value
• Develop a localized implementation roadmap integrating PTC's global AI strategy with the local market, data environment and customer needs
• Lead the design of integrated solutions combining PTC products (e.g., Creo, Windchill) with local LLM/AI Agent technologies, including benchmark scenarios such as an Intelligent Engineering Design Assistant or Change Impact Analysis Assistant
• Build the new AI business line from the ground up, develop sales strategies and Go-To-Market plans, and achieve sales targets
• Establish partnerships with domestic cloud providers, LLM companies and AI Agent startups, and work with sales, presales and technical teams on POCs and implementations
• Train and enable sales, marketing and product teams, and represent PTC at industry summits and forums

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Automation or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in AI solutioning, business development or strategic partnerships
• Deep understanding of manufacturing business processes and digital challenges; familiarity with PLM, ALM or similar systems is a plus
• Excellent communication in Chinese and English, able to engage client executives, technical experts and partners

Required skills

• Solid understanding of LLM principles, fine-tuning and applications (Transformer, GPT, LLaMA)
• Familiarity with AI Agent concepts (architecture, tool use, memory, multi-agent collaboration) and project experience
• Knowledge of RAG, vector databases, model distillation and prompt engineering
• Preferred: experience at a leading cloud provider or AI company, a track record of commercializing LLM or AI Agent projects in industry, and basic Python
