Associate Director, PK Scientist / Clinical Pharmacologist

About the role

The Associate Director, PK Scientist/Clinical Pharmacologist provides strategic leadership across drug discovery and development projects. Recognised as a strong team leader, the role drives scientific excellence and aligns project activities with departmental and company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define team objectives, provide matrix leadership, and align initiatives with corporate strategy.
• Lead or operationalise key scientific and technical areas within pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism.
• Manage PK sub‑teams, generate, analyse, and integrate data to support project decisions.
• Identify project gaps, develop mitigation plans, and ensure resource alignment.
• Champion new scientific approaches relevant to project and department goals.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GxP guidelines, and complete required corporate trainings.

Required profile

• PhD or Pharm.D. with extensive experience in drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, or related biologic fields.
• 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, covering drug discovery, development, clinical pharmacology, or DMPK.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience interacting with regulatory authorities.
• Robust publication record and experience presenting at scientific conferences.
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English.
