Sourcing Manager – Pure Ballast & BU MAS Operations

About the role

The Sourcing Manager will report directly to the Head of Sourcing for BU MAS Operations. This position is responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing purchasing activities and ensuring delivery of objectives for Pure Ballast and BU/PU operations.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and align sub‑commodity strategies across the organization.
• Lead the development and execution of the Pure Ballast sourcing strategy.
• Manage purchasers and purchasing managers for both direct and indirect spend at all related sites.
• Achieve material cost‑reduction targets and improve supply‑related performance.
• Collaborate with Global Commodity teams to integrate focus areas into PB and BU/PU strategies.
• Develop sourcing plans for new products and suppliers as part of the NPD process.
• Ensure requirements are reflected in Global‑Commodity Strategies and that policies are adhered to.
• Provide input to global sourcing tools and procedures and implement them locally.
• Monitor KPIs and scorecards to track performance.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of procurement markets, supply‑chain management and supplier qualification processes.
• Familiarity with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems and quality‑management tools.
• Technical background in marine, power, offshore or related heavy‑industry sectors.
• Proven experience in new‑product‑development (NPD) sourcing projects.
• Business‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
• Excellent teamwork, leadership and the ability to challenge norms.
