Software Manager, Robotics Platform Engineering

About the role

NVIDIA is looking for a Software Manager to lead its Robotics Platform Engineering team in Shanghai, focusing on humanoid robotics and embodied AI. The role involves building the software and systems infrastructure that connects cutting‑edge AI research with real‑world robot deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑performing robotics platform engineering team in China.
• Define technical strategy, priorities, and roadmap for next‑generation robotics reference platforms.
• Drive end‑to‑end system integration across perception, control, foundation models, learning‑based policies, runtime systems, and cloud services.
• Lead platform bring‑up, validation, and deployment across compute modules, sensors, networking, safety systems, and robotic subsystems.
• Partner with AI, simulation, hardware, product, and ecosystem teams to align roadmaps and execution.

Required profile

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience developing robotics, embedded, platform or systems software.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software or systems teams.
• Strong communication, leadership and ability to influence global collaborators.

Required skills

• Robotics system architecture and hardware‑software integration.
• Linux systems, embedded software, distributed and real‑time computing.
• Perception, sensor integration and performance optimization.
• Platform bring‑up, validation and deployment on physical robots.
• Experience with foundation models, embodied AI and reinforcement‑learning policies.
