Repair Stress Engineer – Aircraft Structural Repairs

About the role

The Repair Stress Engineer will develop and deliver repair instructions that meet Airbus certification and airworthiness standards. You will work within a global 24/7 support framework, ensuring timely, high‑quality solutions for AOG and heavy‑maintenance situations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse in‑service damage reports from airlines and MROs to assess structural impact.
• Develop compliant repair solutions, performing static and fatigue strength analyses according to Airbus stress methods.
• Prepare and authorize technical documents, drawings, and repair memos.
• Collaborate with Design Office, Customer Service, Airtac and other stakeholders to ensure technically sound, customer‑focused solutions.
• Lead or support digitalisation initiatives and contribute to the global “Follow‑The‑Sun” support strategy.
• Manage internal data, produce regular delivery reports and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in structural engineering, preferably in aircraft structures.
• Experience with aircraft structural design, stress analysis and fatigue/damage tolerance principles.
• Previous MRO experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
