Structure Repair Engineer – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Structure Repair Engineer is responsible for delivering repair instructions that meet Airbus certification and airworthiness requirements. You will analyse in‑service damage reports, develop repair solutions, and ensure high‑quality, timely delivery across a global support network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse in‑service queries and damage reports from airline customers and MROs.
• Design repair solutions that comply with Airbus standards, certification requirements and airworthiness regulations.
• Perform static and fatigue strength analyses using Airbus stress methods and tools.
• Prepare and submit technical repair documentation for approval.
• Coordinate with Design Office, In‑Service Customer Service, Airtac and other stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions.
• Collect internal data, generate regular delivery reports and support continuous technical improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to Airbus’s Follow‑The‑Sun strategy, providing 24/7 global customer support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Aeronautical preferred; postgraduate preferred).
• Experience in aircraft structures design or strength analysis (static, fatigue, damage tolerance).
• Understanding of airworthiness requirements for aircraft structures and repairs.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for metallic and composite structures.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Proactive attitude, strong team player, and familiarity with Airbus in‑service manuals and drawings.
