Product Application Engineer – Inertial MEMS

About the role

Join Bosch's Inertial MEMS sensor team in Shanghai as a Product Application Engineer. You will lead the full application engineering cycle, turning sensor technology into market‑ready solutions for consumer electronics and wearable devices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete application engineering process for Inertial MEMS sensors, from concept to customer delivery.
• Coordinate cross‑functional projects, handling technical issues and ensuring timely resolution.
• Design evaluation boards and reference platforms that showcase sensor functionality and key specifications.
• Create application notes, technical reports, and training material to support customers and field engineers worldwide.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, field application engineers, and distributors to promote and design‑in MEMS products.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) in Electronics, Communications, Computer Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the consumer electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller peripherals, hardware debugging, and communication protocols (Bluetooth, SPI, I²C).
• Experience in signal‑processing techniques including sampling, filtering and spectral analysis.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); international study or work experience is a plus.
