Global Software Support Engineer – Semi – Xi'an

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Global Software Support Engineer to join its semi‑conductor equipment team in Xi'an, China. You will work on moderate‑complexity software issues, support customers through a ticketing system, and contribute to software change processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve equipment software application and system issues of moderate complexity, including high‑value problems and systemic bugs.
• Provide customer software support via the Software Ticketing system and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
• Create, test, and verify Software Change Notifications and Key Feature Procedures.
• Develop customer‑focused documentation for external software features.
• Participate in equipment software specification, design, testing, and documentation reviews.
• Assist in training junior engineers and detailed product operation.
