Finance Controller – International Organization

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the accounting function for a fast‑growing international organization operating in China. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Chinese GAAP and local regulations, and support the global finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general accounting and the monthly, quarterly and annual close of the entity.
• Supervise an accounting clerk handling invoice processing, data entry and basic bookkeeping.
• Manage the local payroll process and ensure timely, accurate customer invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, social security, customs and regulatory filing deadlines.
• Handle import VAT, customs duties and export VAT refund processes.
• Manage accounts receivable, credit control, collections and aging for division customers.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial statements and reports to the parent company.
• Coordinate with external providers in China such as accounting firms, tax advisors, auditors and customs brokers.
• Own the local statutory audit and support the parent company’s annual audit.
• Maintain internal controls over payments and cash management.

Required profile

• CPA designation or recognized equivalent.
• Relevant experience in financial control or accounting, preferably in distribution or import‑export.
• Professional English (written and spoken) for ongoing communication with the parent company.
• Fluent Mandarin for local working environment.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems.
