Design Engineer

About the role

Airbus (Beijing) Engineering Centre is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and optimise structural components and assemblies for aerospace products. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet all functional and regulatory criteria. The role focuses on delivering lightweight, cost‑effective, high‑performance solutions while ensuring the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise structural components and assemblies using appropriate design tools.
• Balance weight, cost, performance and production/assembly requirements.
• Identify and manage technical activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and program requirements and mitigate potential compliance risks.
• Maintain product safety and integrity through rigorous engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate design solutions into overall system architecture.

Required profile

• Professional experience in structural design engineering, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
• Strong awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity.
• Ability to work within regulated environments and deliver reliable engineering solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced engineering environment.
