Customer Engineer – New College Graduate

About the role

As a Customer Engineer (New College Graduate) at Applied Materials, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading semiconductor and display equipment. You will leverage digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Assist senior engineers with equipment installation at customer sites.
• Provide daily equipment maintenance, technical support, fault handling, and equipment upgrades.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and high‑quality service.
• Complete on‑the‑job technical and safety training, adhere to site safety and environmental requirements.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (2026 graduates) in automation, mechatronics, electronic/electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, data science, AI, applied mathematics or related fields, with good English proficiency.
• Willingness to travel domestically 20‑30% of the time.
