CRA Line Manager

About the role

iQVIA, a global provider of clinical research services, is looking for a CRA Line Manager in Beijing. The role manages clinical research staff, supports the allocation of resources to clinical studies and ensures the quality of clinical work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff according to organizational policies and regulations: plan, assign and direct work, assess performance, guide professional development, reward and discipline employees, and resolve employee relations issues.
• Take part in hiring new employees by reviewing candidates and interviewing them, and ensure they are properly onboarded and trained.
• Make sure staff have the right materials, system access and training, and oversee the training plan, SOP reviews and training sessions.
• Help allocate resources to clinical research projects by assigning staff to clinical studies based on their experience and training.
• Review and evaluate staff work regularly to manage quality, identify quality risks and create corrective action plans.
• Ensure staff meet workload and quality metrics through regular review and reporting.
• Collaborate with other clinical teams and functional leaders on project challenges and customer service, and take part in quality or process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or health care preferred.
• Prior clinical trial experience, including in a management or leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical research regulatory requirements such as GCP and ICH guidelines.
• Good leadership skills and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Written and verbal communication skills, including a good command of English.
