Supervisor, Clinical Trial Materials

About the role

Q2 Solutions, a clinical trial laboratory services organization, is hiring a supervisor for its clinical trial materials (CTM) function in Beijing. The role supports the management of staff who assemble and package laboratory test kits used to collect data on clinical trial participants, in line with the ICH E6 Good Clinical Practice guideline.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff involved in assembling and shipping visit-specific kits to investigator sites
• Liaise with Inventory Control so that supplies are available when needed
• Oversee Quality Control to ensure accurate shipment of clinical trial materials
• Manage resupply of kits, monitor and update the auto-inventory system
• Create and maintain hazardous materials shipping documentation in line with regulations
• Train staff according to the CTM training plan and manage staff CVs and training records
• Work with Project Management to ensure accuracy of work orders and contents sheets before building, especially at study start-up
• Archive records and quality data per standard operating procedures
• Contribute to process improvements and cost-saving measures in the CTM function
• Plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, guide professional development, reward and discipline staff, handle employee relations and approve HR actions; provide leadership in the manager's absence

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3-4 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• In-depth knowledge of CTM packaging procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable hazardous goods shipping regulations
• Knowledge of applicable HR policies and procedures
