Category Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Aptiv is seeking a Category Buyer to lead supplier sourcing, negotiation and cost‑reduction initiatives for its product lines. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure the right suppliers are selected and contracts are managed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and recommend competitive suppliers based on purchase requisitions.
• Negotiate contracts to achieve quality, price, service and technology targets.
• Drive savings through data collection, benchmarking and strategic negotiations.
• Manage annual negotiations and meet defined saving targets.
• Implement material cost‑reduction strategies aligned with global and regional goals.
• Support material localization efforts.
• Maintain daily documentation and contract administration.
• Develop and sustain a supply base that best fits Aptiv’s product lines.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional departments to ensure seamless material flow.

Required profile

• University graduate in engineering or a commercial discipline (Bachelor’s degree or higher).
• 3‑5 years of international or commodity purchasing experience.
• Fluent in English; Korean language skills are a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication and ability to work across time zones and cultures.
