Associate or Senior Editor – Nature Progress Brain Health

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking an Associate or Senior Editor to join the editorial team of Nature Progress Brain Health, a new open‑access journal focused on cutting‑edge brain health research. The editor will shape the journal’s scientific direction, ensure high editorial standards, and help disseminate important discoveries in neuroscience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full editorial workflow from manuscript submission to publication.
• Identify suitable reviewers, coordinate peer‑review, and make informed editorial decisions.
• Commission reviews, commentaries, and special collections that align with the journal’s scope.
• Collaborate with authors, reviewers, and the production team to maintain timely and high‑quality publishing.
• Promote the journal within the scientific community and at conferences.

Required profile

• A passion for science and a strong curiosity beyond one’s own research area.
• Critical eye and ability to evaluate novel findings quickly.
• Experience in clinical or translational neuroscience, especially neuroimaging or machine‑learning applications.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
