Assistant Manager, Sales – Engineering Plastics (Chongqing)

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in Sales for Engineering Plastics at BASF in Chongqing, you will be fully responsible for driving profitable growth with assigned customers. You will develop sales plans, secure orders and ensure accurate forecasting while supporting the implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets for engineering plastics customers.
• Identify and profile key accounts, conduct field visits, seminars and presentations.
• Monitor credit exposure, coordinate with credit control and follow up on payments.
• Implement pricing policies, support product launches and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market intelligence studies on trends, competitors and application technologies.
• Collaborate with regional business units and cross‑functional teams to resolve customer issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales development and customer management within the chemicals or plastics sector.
• Strong ability to create business plans, forecast sales and manage credit risk.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting presentations and handling inquiries.
