Account Manager, Global Key Accounts - Food Ingredients

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is looking for an Account Manager for its Global Key Accounts in Food Ingredients. The role is based in Beijing or Shanghai, China, in a hybrid setting. The Food Ingredients business unit is expected to be sold to CVC Capital Partners in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with global key accounts in China, supporting revenue, profitability and forecast accuracy goals.
• Coordinate sales activities for the assigned accounts and define short- and long-term key account plans.
• Identify, develop and evaluate new business opportunities at existing and new accounts, converting them into sales according to the business participation strategy of the territory and market.
• Monitor industry trends, market potential, competitor moves and competitive intelligence, and feed this back to the team.
• Implement forecasting, pricing, opportunities and call reporting tools and processes on a monthly basis.
• Work with peers and management to achieve sales targets and performance measures and foster a team-based culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or a relevant field.
• 8-10 years of sales, account or business management, or technical service experience in an international company.
• Rich experience as a sales professional in B2B food, managing Global Key Accounts in China.
• Able to work independently and as a team player, with respect for people.
• Strong analytical skills, presentation skills and ability to absorb commercial and technical information quickly.
• Excellent oral and written English.
