Key Account Manager

About the role

Valeo is looking for a Key Account Manager to ensure our offers are competitive, fully compliant, and aligned with customer expectations. You will act as the bridge between customers and internal project teams, driving pricing strategy, negotiations, and commercial insight across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and communicate customer requirements to project teams.
• Set sales price objectives based on market and competitor analysis.
• Implement pricing strategy within the Customer Agreement (CAA) and ensure global pricing consistency with other regions.
• Prepare and submit competitive quotations on time, covering technical and economic aspects.
• Participate in project teams to represent the customer’s viewpoint on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Educate customers on new technologies, products, and solutions.
• Lead negotiations during business acquisition, providing commercial insights and guiding customers toward recommended actions.
• Maintain visibility of negotiation status and competition for the PG organization.
• Review and negotiate contracts, nominations, and amendments in line with group policies.
• Prepare budgets, manage selling prices, and track order‑intake targets.
• Operate at regional level, negotiate price changes, and manage productivity plans.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of automotive market dynamics and competitor positioning.
• Proven experience in key account management, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable project requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to align internal teams and external customers.
• Results‑driven mindset with responsibility for turnover and market share growth.
