Account Sales – Semi (Shanghai)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking an Account Sales professional for its semi‑conductor business in Shanghai. The role involves representing the company to customers and driving complex sales strategies to support AI and next‑generation chip development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the account owner, representing both the company and the customer in all sales‑oriented activities.
• Identify customer needs and develop/implement complex sales strategies.
• Engage existing or new customers to present Applied Materials’ products and services, coordinating demonstrations with product business groups.
• Communicate Applied Materials’ product roadmaps and capabilities to customers, and convey customer technology needs to internal teams.
• Prepare pricing quotes, negotiate final prices, and submit documentation to book orders.
• Conduct follow‑up on accounts receivable.
• Maintain appropriate coverage and documentation for all assigned customers.
• Summarize customer visits and develop customer‑specific action plans, completing them in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline or field.
• Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Leadership experience managing functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, using sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
