Thermal Management Design Engineer – Focus DFR

About the role

Join Bosch's joint‑development team in Shanghai to design and develop thermal management modules for a range of applications. You will work onsite with UAES, applying modular design principles and supporting global deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review 3D models, 2D drawings, Design Verification Plan (DVP) reports and DFMEA documents.
• Apply modular (Baukasten) design standards to ensure consistency across projects.
• Collaborate onsite with UAES on base‑design development and its integration into customer projects.
• After onboarding, take full ownership of the technical domain and support an international team.
• Coordinate with Bosch GmbH Germany for overall technical target responsibility.

Required profile

• Degree in Energy Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in thermal management product development.
• Strong logical reasoning, goal‑driven mindset and ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Hardworking and able to endure challenging work conditions.

Required skills

• Selection and application of thermal management sub‑components, including interface design.
• Understanding of thermal management system architectures, requirements and performance specifications.
• Testing and validation methodologies for thermal management systems.
• Experience with DFMEA and Design Verification Plans.
• Proficiency in CAD tools for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
