Supplier Quality Manager

About the role

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for establishing and elevating quality standards across Fairphone's supplier network for audio products and smartphones. Based in China, the role works closely with the Quality Operations team in the Netherlands and acts as the operational link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational due‑diligence evaluations and audit roadmaps for supplier capabilities, compliance and quality systems.
• Apply risk‑management methodologies to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Support investigations, escalations and closed‑loop feedback of field quality issues back to supplier processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Product and Engineering to drive quality improvements.
• Ensure timely delivery of audio device programs with ODM partners, managing timelines, prototypes, testing and ramp‑up.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Quality Operations within consumer electronics (smartphones, audio, IoT).
• Formal training in Quality Management or Operations.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Experience with macOS operating system.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with Basecamp project‑management tool.
