Speech and Debate Coach

About the role

Dipont Education is seeking a passionate Speech and Debate Coach to lead its debate program in Shenzhen. You will guide students of all ages through research, argumentation, and competition preparation, delivering instruction in English.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction for speech and debate across all levels, from fundamentals to tournament‑ready strategies.
• Prepare students for various formats such as Public Forum, British Parliamentary, Model United Nations, and Extemporaneous Speaking.
• Plan lessons, create supporting materials, and adapt the curriculum to student needs and personal strengths.
• Mentor students during local and national tournaments organized by Dipont across China.
• Provide additional support outside class hours for student coaching and tournament preparation.

Required profile

• Experience teaching debate, public speaking, or related subjects to a range of age groups.
• Strong communication skills in English; Chinese is an asset but not required.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to collaborate in an international environment.
• Flexibility to work a five‑day week that includes weekends, with two consecutive days off during the week.
