Solutions Center Manager, ELDS China

About the role

The Solutions Center Manager, ELDS China develops and implements the business strategy of the China Solutions Center, positioning it as an execution hub for global Solutions projects in close coordination with the Global Solutions organisation and other ELDS regions and business lines. The role holds full accountability for day-to-day operations and for overachieving customer expectations through lean, faultless execution, and is accountable for KPIs including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet.

Key responsibilities

• Execute a customer-focused operations strategy based on the business and functional strategy for the focus market segments.
• Grow the China Solutions Center's role in supporting international and export Solutions projects, ensuring profitable, high-quality and reliable execution.
• Work with Global Solutions and regional teams to align priorities, capacity, competencies, project governance and resource allocation.
• Deliver KPIs and targets for manufacturing operations: safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity, with a focus on standardisation, cost competitiveness and scalability.
• Ensure employees understand ABB's core values, group safety and integrity standards, and ensure the health and safety of all employees and continuous improvement of HSE processes.
• Manage project management systems and ensure strong execution of integrated Solutions projects such as electrical systems, protection and control, automation and SCADA.
• Drive continuous improvement of business processes and procedures, and manage operational risk and value chain from supplier to customer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, business or a related profession.
• Solid experience in P&L management and operations; electrical equipment industry experience preferred.
• Proven experience in project and solutions execution, ideally including international or cross-border projects covering engineering, project management and power automation.
• Excellent leadership skills to build, attract, motivate and retain a high-performing team, and to drive change and continuous improvement.
• Fluent English, able to present effectively internally and externally; good learning ability.
