Social Media Specialist

About the role

The Social Media Specialist will lead daily content creation and community operations across China’s core social platforms for thatgamecompany’s IPs. The role focuses on building emotional brand value, sustaining community engagement, and fostering player loyalty through authentic storytelling and creator relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Own the daily content calendar and operate core channels (Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Weibo), scripting, editing, and publishing copy, graphics, and short videos while respecting IP brand tone.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fan artists, community creators, and mid‑to‑micro KOLs/KOCs, driving organic UGC growth.
• Support game updates, IP events, and collaboration campaigns by executing social media rollouts, delivering localized copy, and interacting with users.
• Track performance metrics such as impressions, engagement rates, and follower growth, and compile player sentiment and content feedback for regular reporting.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of social media operations experience in gaming, ACG, or pan‑entertainment sectors with a proven record of content execution.
• High aesthetic sensitivity and strong execution skills.
• Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
• Passion for thatgamecompany’s design philosophy and community values, preferably with experience playing Sky or similar titles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic video editing tools such as CapCut.
• Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Photoshop.
• Deep knowledge of community mechanics and algorithms on Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, and Weibo.
