Services Engagement Manager - China R&D and Quality Services

About the role

Veeva Systems, a life sciences industry cloud provider, is hiring a Services Engagement Manager (SEM) for its China R&D and Quality Services team in Suzhou. The SEM sets R&D and Quality Cloud customers up for success and represents the full value proposition of a Cloud implementation, working closely with the Veeva Sales and Services teams. The role is part of the sales cycle and project delivery, and involves structuring solutions, setting expectations and preparing project charters.

Key responsibilities

• Align with sales teams to provide implementation proposals and build prospect confidence in Veeva's delivery capability
• Set client and internal stakeholder expectations with a focus on long-term success
• Define implementation proposals and Statements of Work in line with customer needs and Veeva's best practices
• Position integration development, migration, training and other services needed for a successful customer experience
• Work with services and service leadership to ensure project delivery matches the implementation plan, including managing the opportunity pipeline and staffing
• Prepare RFx responses, proposals and Statements of Work, and align the team strategically before projects start

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience delivering or selling software services; a software service delivery background is a must
• Direct experience in Life Sciences with R&D or Quality experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Based in Shanghai or Suzhou with the legal right to work
• Strong written and verbal communication in Chinese and English, able to engage IT and business audiences

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based solution deployment and agile methodologies
• Exposure to compliance and validation standards in Life Sciences
• Proven success selling services
